(Grand Cayman, Thursday, 24 January 2008)  Mr. Patrick Bodden, the Deputy Managing Director of the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority (CIMA), has tendered his resignation from the organization, effective 4 April 2008. Mr. Bodden will leave to pursue other endeavours after spending over seven years with CIMA. He joined in February 2001 as the Head of Fiduciary Services and was appointed Deputy Managing Director in June 2006.

Managing Director, Mrs. Cindy Scotland, said: “Patrick has made a major contribution to CIMA. As Head of Fiduciary Services he guided the development of the division, which had only recently been formed when he was appointed. As a member of the management team and more recently as the Deputy MD, he provided excellent leadership support, represented the Authority locally and overseas and led it on numerous occasions. I will be sorry to see him go. However, I understand his wish to move on.” Mr. Bodden commented: “Working with the Monetary Authority has been the highlight of my career. It has been a tremendous responsibility working with an organization that is so vital to the integrity of our financial centre. I am confident that CIMA will continue to be successful as it faces the inevitable challenges ahead with a competent and talented MD at the helm. I wish CIMA every success in the future.” Mr. Bodden’s successor to has not yet been designated. An announcement will be made once this is done.
