New Senior VP appointed at Global Captive Management

Monique Jackson, Vice President of Global Captive Management Ltd, was appointed as Senior Vice President of the company.

 

 

Ms Jackson has been with the company since December 2003 and was previously employed with the Insurance Division of the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority (CIMA). An accountant, she holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting obtained from Baylor University and an Associate in Risk Management (ARM) designation from the Insurance Institute of America. Peter MacKay, Chairman and CEO, said that: "Monique was uniquely qualified for the position as she had industry experience as well as having worked for the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority, the regulatory body in the Cayman Islands. This cross over experience would be very beneficial for our clients." Global Captive Management Ltd. (GCM) is a Corporation incorporated in the Cayman Islands and licensed as an Insurance Manager by the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority.

Global Captive Management Ltd was founded in 1982 by Peter MacKay, the majority shareholder of GCM. The management team of Global Captive Management (GCM) now consists of the Chairman, Peter Mackay, Senior Vice President Monique Jackson, and Vice Presidents, Dwight Merren and Jennifer Reid.

Mr Merren was also previously employed with the Insurance Division of CIMA and has been with the Company since 2005. He has over 12 years of experience in the captive insurance industry. Ms Reid, a former auditor with KPMG, joined the Company in 2004 as an Account Executive and was promoted to Vice President in October 2006.GCM is the 10th largest insurance manager in the world and is the fourth largest insurance manager in the Cayman Islands, as well as being the largest independent insurance manager there. GCM currently manages 82 captive insurance companies, including 8 Segregated Portfolio Companies with 29 segregated portfolios.

Forty percent of GCM's captive portfolio consists of healthcare captives, which provide coverage for hospital systems, physician groups, locum tenens and nursing homes.
