Harbour adds Director

September 2011 - Harbour is pleased to announce that Mr. Greg Bennett has joined Harbour and has been appointed to its Board of Directors.


Greg, who is a well known figure in the local and international fund community, is a welcome addition to Harbour. His broad expertise with investment funds, fund administration and business development enhances an already strong Harbour Board.  Prior to joining he most recently held the position of Managing Director at HedgeServ – global hedge fund administration firm, whose Cayman office he established in 2010.

Greg began his career with Coopers & Lybrand in Edmonton, Canada in 1996 and was promoted to Manager in 1998.  He joined UBS Fund Services in Cayman in 2000, where he ultimately was responsible for business development.  In 2004 Greg joined the Cayman office of Butterfield Fund Services. He became a Director of the firm in 2005 and Managing Director in 2008. In September 2008 Butterfield Fund Services merged with Fulcrum, creating the hedge fund administration firm Butterfield Fulcrum. Post merger Greg held the position of Managing Director and Global Head of Client Development.


He holds a B.Comm Degree from the University of Alberta, Canada, and is also a CA, CPA, and a CFA Charterholder. Greg is the Treasurer of AIMA Cayman, a Director of Hedge Funds Care Cayman (and Co-chair of the Grant Committee), Deputy Chairman of the Cayman Islands Fund Administrators  Association and Past President of the CFA Society of the Cayman Islands.


Commenting on the appointment, Mr. Alan Milgate, Service Line Leader for Harbour and Partner of Rawlinson & Hunter, said “We are delighted to have Greg join the Harbour Board. Greg joins fellow Board members Philip Dickie and Cassandra Powell on the Harbour leadership team, rounding out an impressive group with extensive expertise, diverse backgrounds and complementary skill sets.


The other Directors of Harbour include – Richard Douglas, William Walmsley, Peter Anderson, Alan Milgate and Tamara Corbin.
