Stuart Walker Hersant, PricewaterhouseCoopers, and Cayman national Fund services hosted the 2nd Annual International Funds Conference last at the Ritz-Carlton last Friday.

Opening remarks to this one-day event were delivered Chairman of the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority, Carlyle McLaughlin. Head of Litigation at Stuart Walker Hersant, Anthony Akiwumi, gave the welcome address.

This forum was scheduled to have 19 locally based and overseas speakers making presentations and leading off panel discussions on various topics including the evolving US attitude towards the hedge fund industry; successful investing in time of turmoil; when hedge funds fall; review of potential conflicts in light of recent high profile litigation and due diligence concerns; review of potential energy policies and the new US president; and regulatory and tax compliance: current requirements and expected and expected challenges.
