(Grand Cayman) – The Cayman Islands Monetary Authority (CIMA) wishes to advise the public that, due to the imminent threat of Tropical Storm Gustav, its offices at Elizabethan Square will be closed from 3 p.m. today.
This decision has been taken to facilitate the activation of CIMA’s Business Continuity Plan as well as to allow staff adequate time to make personal preparations.
Equipment and material at CIMA's Elizabethan Square offices are being secured and the Authority's primary off-site disaster recovery centre has been readied. The facility is located at Deloitte's Disaster Recovery Centre (DRC) at Citrus Grove, George Town, and houses CIMA's data replication systems, workstations and telecommunication equipment. Additionally, the public is advised that the Authority’s website www.cimoney.com.ky will continue to be accessible.
CIMA will advise of its reopening subject to existing conditions and information from Hazard Management Cayman Islands.
