London – 31 May 2011: The Alternative Investment Management Association (AIMA), the global hedge fund association, has published a guide for investors and managers, written by members of AIMA’s Investor Steering Committee (ISC), that reflects preferences and priorities for institutional investors and investment allocations.

George Town, Grand Cayman – The Cayman Islands delegation reported significant progress in implementing the recommendations contained in their Phase 1 Peer Review Report at the 3rd meeting of the Global Forum on Transparency and Exchange of Information for Tax Purposes, taking place this week (31 May – 1 June 2011).

(Grand Cayman- Friday, 27 May 2011) The Cayman Islands Monetary Authority (CIMA) is releasing today the 4th annual Investments Statistical Digest, a compilation of aggregate data from approximately 7,000 regulated funds in the Cayman Islands during the financial year 2009.

Appleby employees have donated over $28,000 to local charities in a stylish fashion.  During the last financial year, employees in the Appleby Cayman office were given the opportunity to dress down on Fridays by making a donation to their choice of two charities, the Cayman Islands Cancer Society or Cayman HospiceCare.  In addition to the two main charities, three special dress down days took place during the year and the funds raised were donated to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, MOvember and the Lions Club of Tropical Gardens’ Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign.
