(Grand Cayman- 28 October 2011) Third quarter figures from the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority (CIMA) show the continued resilience of Cayman’s captive insurance sector. CIMA licensed 29 captive insurance companies in the first nine months of 2011, 14 more than during the same period in 2010. The total number of captives in the jurisdiction at 30 September 2011 stood at 730.

An international financial expert says the Cayman Islands could lose its prominent position as a global leader so the finance industry can not afford to drop its guard.

Graduates of John Gray High School, Anthony and Zachary enrolled in the AS and A Level programme at St. Ignatius Catholic School last academic year and are now in the second year of the programme. The Cayman Islands Government signs another tax agreement.

George Town, Grand Cayman – The Cayman Islands and the People’s Republic of China signed a tax information exchange agreement (TIEA) following a signing ceremony today.
