In response to the UK Treasury Committee’s recent inquiry into the role of offshore centres, the Cayman Islands Financial Services Association (CIFSA) has prepared a special report in an effort to “disseminate correct information” on the local financial services industry.
Grand Cayman (27 May 2008) – The Cayman Islands Financial Services Association (CIFSA) sought to correct what it saw as a “misrepresentation” of the standards of regulation within the UK’s Overseas Territories in a statement made recently in a report by the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) of the UK’s House of Commons.
Cayman Islands Financial Services Association says it welcomes recent developments in the US which may require companies to supply information along the same high standards which have been implemented in the Cayman Islands for years.
